Project #2: Interactive Fundraiser

On November 22, 2019 I led a team of 18 volunteers and executed a local fundraiser in support of Hospice Huntsville and The Snow Lake Initiative. The event featured

  • Free Interactive S’mores Bar (Vegan & GF friendly)

  • Grilled Cheese Bar (Vegan & GF friendly)

  • Live Performances

  • Special Performance from Scott Hammell- a four-time Guinness world record holder, speaker, magician, storyteller and stunt artist.

  • Auction

  • Canvas Beer

  • Spiked Hot Chocolate

  • Door Prizes & more…

After the event, I put together a public report that outlined the nitty-gritty details of this event which aimed to showcase the process and cost(s) associated with organizing and executing a medium-sized fundraiser. In 2020, The Snow Lake Initiative launched a new granting program that aims to encourage members to put on fundraising events in their local communities and utilize their talents to create positive impact. This grant will exist to help offset some of the “unavoidable” miscellaneous event expenses, that, as you will see in our P&L statement at the bottom of this report, made up 29% of event expenses.
